I built the corbels for this magnificent fireplace
The mantle was by Dallas Designs of Flint.
The faux marble finish is by an artist who's name I am tracking down. I'll add it to this posting as soon as I get that information.
Sometimes you get the lead in a play and sometimes you play a supporting role. When I was in high school I tried out for the one of the leads in a production of "Hello Dolly". I was assigned the supporting role of "Ambrose the Painter"..As it turned out that was really great- I got my name in the program as a supporting character-the role itself was fun -I actually learned to dance a two step and I didn't have nearly as many lines to learn so I got a lot of "fool around time" back stage-That's where all the fun is anyway! Well this project reminds me of that stage experience...I built the Corbels for this magnificent Fireplace Structure. The corbels- indeed playing the supporting role, and the make-up- or faux marble finish, combine to give a spectacular performance...
I'll let the pictures finish the play.!
