I'll add a second coat of the enamel then sand through the paint in selected locations to add the distressed look of the sample. The whole base and top with then get two or three top coats of waterborne polyurethane.
I have two coats of primer and one coat of enamel on the base.
Here is the sample compared to first coat of enamel.
The top is almost ready for the finish-I will be adding a small round-over/chamfer around the entire perimeter of the table-to make it "easy on the elbows"
