We had an old grate laying around the basement for years. I also had a bunch of balusters given to me by my friend Mike Maynard. This is the grate painted black.
The balusters as legs with frame built for the top.
The grate sits inside the frame-
We'll get a piece of glass cut to set on the grate.
The table ends up in the "Blue Bedroom" next to an Eastlake Victorian Bed
