Overall fabrication is nearly complete. The case section is glued up, a frame for the glass top is made and gilded moldings are ready and loosely taped in place.

I will be making some brass handles/knobs that will be attached to the short sections that protrude outward from the gilded frame.
The case and stand will get a final sanding and then a mix of Minwax Red Mahogany and Jacobean stains topped by Minwax Antique Oil Finish. This should give the piece a deep aged look.
