I built this Writing Desk as per the situation of Fitzwilliam Darcy. The design is not a reproduction of any particular piece. My goal was to produce a piece that has the look and feel of something you might find in one of those Jane Austen film settings.
This is a chess set I gave  to my son Spencer as a college graduation gift.
This is a three generation piece. My dad made the walnut footstool.  His dad-Herbert Young (my Grampa Young) made the walnut and maple chess board, and I turned the chess pieces from broom poles when I was about 20.
Here are  Chess Ensembles that I am including in this "Tables" page.

These are two versions of a Case on Stand- each designed to house an antique or historic Bible. The Case on the left was built in 2015 for Levy Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas  and the case on the right was built in 2012 for the First Congregational Church  of Ann Arbor.  You'll see these pieces on several pages of my website as they fall under several categories including a table and liturgical furniture.
This Side Table is  Pine with inlayed Walnut strips and feet.
We had an old grate laying around the basement for years. I also had a bunch of balusters given to me by a friend -My wife Eileen, said "You should make a table out of these." This is the result.

One of the largest projects I've taken on-The center is an 80" diameter table. The center table is surrounded by four satellite tables that are another 18" deep which makes the whole table setting 116" in diameter or 9 feet 8inches in diameter. The top of this table spins freely on a large bearing.
